The most fabulous package arrived from my HSKS 5 swap partner, Penny Willow today. I can't believe all the hard work and thought that she put into the package and all the wonderful goodies that she made and selected for me. I really adore it when people make hand crafted items for the packages. I know how much I like gifting creative efforts and particularly enjoy it when I receive them - partially because I appreciate all the work that goes into them. To know how truly excited I was to open the package - you should know that I waited to eat dinner when arriving home from work until after I had opened and photographed the entire package. Come on people - I'm a constantly eating pregnant lady. Food typically waits for nothing these days.
So without further delay - here are some pics and descriptions of the contents:
Initial Box Contents (look at that bag people -oh my):
The bag: All I can say is WOW!
The Yarn:
Go Crazy (fingering weight) in Ravenclaw goes to the movies from crazy4dying.etsy.com. I love this yarn. I bought a Slytherin version for my swapee and didn't want to part with it. It feels fabulous (merino).
Pattern: Snake River Socks by Judy Becker. I'm really interested in trying this one out. It's toe up and I really want to master this technique.
Handmade items:
Can you believe all the stuff she made. An accessories case with an embroidered raven, baby socks (OMG - they are so adorable and so thoughtful), a belt/scarf.
Other goodies:
Circular needles - size 1, 16" and 24" (I really like the Knit Picks needles for socks) and some more baby goodies (scrapbook stuff)!!
Group shot:
Thank you again Penny - Everything is awesome!! Happy Friday everyone....
